Red Valve Pressure Sensors

Red Valve’s Pressure Sensors are the industry standard for protecting instrumentation and assuring accurate, dependable pressure measurement of slurry and corrosive fluids. The line pressure is sensed 360° through the flexible rubber sleeve. The captive fluid is displaced through the pressure sensor body to the instrument’s Bourdon tube. All instruments are isolated and protected from the process, assuring positive and accurate readings. All Red Valve Pressure Sensors and gauges are tested and calibrated through the mid-range to assure the highest level of accuracy. Check Valves

Red Valve Series 37 Inline Check Valve

 

The Series 37 Inline Check Valve is a simple, reliable, cost-effective solution for backflow prevention. The revolutionary design of the 37 is similar to the Series 35, but the Series 37 bill does not flare and is designed to be inserted into the downstream pipe and fastened between two mating flanges, eliminating the need for a valve body. Since most of the valve is inserted into the downstream pipe the face-to-face dimension of the Series 37 is just the flange thickness, making it ideal for applications with space limitations. In order to fit down inside the pipe, the bill cannot flare and therefore the headloss of the 37 is higher than other styles of Tideflex Check Valves. The Series 37 in not only installed in piping systems, but is used extensively in concrete manholes and structures where the valve is inserted into the effluent pipe and the flange is anchored to the concrete wall with a retaining ring.

The Series 37 flange size drilling conforms to ANSI Class 125/150# and is also available with DIN drillings and other standard or customized drilling patterns. Series 37 Check Valves are not supplied with retaining rings, as they are typically installed between pipe flanges, but retaining rings can be supplied for applications that require it.

For higher backpressure ratings or to lower headloss while maintaining backpressure ratings, the Saddle Support Technology (SST) can be used in conjunction with the Series 37.

Red Valve Series 39F Check Valve

The Series 39F Large-Diameter Slurry Check Valve is designed to handle abrasive slurries, sewage, sludge and other difficult services. The valve’s operation is silent and non-slamming, just like the smaller Series 39.

At the heart of the Series 39F Check Valve is a fabric-reinforced, elastomer check sleeve that provides through flow at minimum pressure drop across the valve at all times. Forward pressure opens the valve automatically and reverse pressure seals the valve. The check sleeve even seals around entrapped solids.  This inner elastomer check valve minimizes wear and deterioration caused by continuous operation of abrasive slurries. And there are no mechanical parts such as hinges, disks or metal seats that can freeze, corrode or bind valve operation.

The Series 39F Inline Check Valve is provided with a clean-out ports and flush ports for routine maintenance and cleaning. The valve features an epoxy coated, fabricated-steel body. The valve has thru-drilled flange holes and face-to-face dimensions meet ANSI B16.10 specs. The Series 39F is also available in a plain end x plain end configuration. The Series 39F can also be specially fabricated with offset flanges and a RTF-1 sleeve when bottom clearance is limited (consult factory for special configurations). When ordering, line pressure and back pressure must be provided, as each valve is custom-built to match the flow requirements of the installation.

Red Valve Series TF-1 Check Valve

 

The TF-1 has become the preferred Tideflex Check Valve configuration for outfalls. Designed for in-structure and end-of-pipe installations, the TF-1 features a flat bottom and flared top. This allows the valve to be installed at a lower overall elevation than other configurations, with less bottom clearance required. This is especially important in low-lying areas where maintaining as much driving head is critical, or where silt, sand and debris might tend to collect beneath the valve.

The TF-1 is ideal for manhole applications, such as junction boxes, diversion chambers and interceptors, where the invert of the pipe is close to the floor of the vault. These vaults are designed to maximize the available gravity head, thus the invert pipe is as close to the floor as possible. The TF-1 allows installation in such structures and is easily retrofitted to existing structures, often replacing failed flapgates. There is no need to break up the concrete floor to provide bottom clearance.

The TF-1 installs by slipping over the end of an exposed piece of pipe, and is fastened with compression clamps. The inside diameter of the TF-1’s cuff is fabricated to exactly match the outside diameter of the pipe

Red Valve Series TF-2 Check Valve

 

The TF-2 was the first duckbill check valve introduced by Tideflex Technologies. The TF-2 was developed based on a United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant in the 1980s to overcome excessive costs in maintenance and replacement of non-performing flapgates. The TF-2 design has been enhanced by the TF-1 Flat-bottom Duckbill Check Valve. The TF-1 requires minimal bottom clearance and the inherent geometry and construction of the TF-1 yields a stronger, more durable check valve.

The TF-2 installs by slipping over the end of an exposed piece of pipe, and is fastened with compression clamps. The inside diameter of the TF-2’s cuff is fabricated to exactly match the outside diameter of the pipe.

The original Tideflex Check Valve design, the TF-2, has a flare on the top and bottom of the valve. It has been superseded by the TF-1 as Tideflex’s standard design, but remains available for customers who desire it for aesthetic reasons or space limitations.

The TF-2 can also be installed on the O.D. of elliptical pipe and many arch pipes. Tideflex Technologies also offers a thimble plate option allowing the slip-on TF-2 to be installed directly to a headwall or seawall. For higher backpressure ratings or to lower headloss while maintaining backpressure ratings, the Saddle Support Technology (SST) can be used in conjunction with the Series TF-2.

Duckbill Check Valves

Red Valve Series TF-2 Check Valve

 

The TF-2 was the first duckbill check valve introduced by Tideflex Technologies. The TF-2 was developed based on a United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant in the 1980s to overcome excessive costs in maintenance and replacement of non-performing flapgates. The TF-2 design has been enhanced by the TF-1 Flat-bottom Duckbill Check Valve. The TF-1 requires minimal bottom clearance and the inherent geometry and construction of the TF-1 yields a stronger, more durable check valve.

The original Tideflex Check Valve design, the TF-2, has a flare on the top and bottom of the valve. It has been superseded by the TF-1 as Tideflex’s standard design, but remains available for customers who desire it for aesthetic reasons or space limitations.

The TF-2 can also be installed on the O.D. of elliptical pipe and many arch pipes. Tideflex Technologies also offers a thimble plate option allowing the slip-on TF-2 to be installed directly to a headwall or seawall. For higher backpressure ratings or to lower headloss while maintaining backpressure ratings, the Saddle Support Technology (SST) can be used in conjunction with the Series TF-2.

Red Valve Series TF-1 Check Valve

 

The TF-1 has become the preferred Tideflex Check Valve configuration for outfalls. Designed for in-structure and end-of-pipe installations, the TF-1 features a flat bottom and flared top. This allows the valve to be installed at a lower overall elevation than other configurations, with less bottom clearance required. This is especially important in low-lying areas where maintaining as much driving head is critical, or where silt, sand and debris might tend to collect beneath the valve.

The TF-1 is ideal for manhole applications, such as junction boxes, diversion chambers and interceptors, where the invert of the pipe is close to the floor of the vault. These vaults are designed to maximize the available gravity head, thus the invert pipe is as close to the floor as possible. The TF-1 allows installation in such structures and is easily retrofitted to existing structures, often replacing failed flapgates. There is no need to break up the concrete floor to provide bottom clearance.

The TF-1 installs by slipping over the end of an exposed piece of pipe, and is fastened with compression clamps. The inside diameter of the TF-1’s cuff is fabricated to exactly match the outside diameter of the pipe

Redflex Expansion Joints

Red Valve manufactures a complete line of Redflex Expansion Joints, rubber fittings and rubber pipes. Expansion joints are designed to alleviate piping stress, compensate for movement, reduce noise, and isolate vibration. Redflex products can be custom-built in a variety of styles and configurations to accommodate pipe size reductions, misalignments and offsets. Red Valve offers flanged and slip-on connections, single or multiple arches, and a range of elastomers to meet process conditions, including Teflon-lined joints for severely corrosive applications. The Redflex product line also includes rubber fittings, rubber elbows, vibration pipe, and rubber pipe to accommodate radius turns. Red Valve also custom builds many unique rubber products, such as headers with multiple pipe connections.
